Kristine Mifsud is from Tkaranto, Canada and currently based in Riga, Latvia
Kristine’s sculptural practice explores a connection to land through found objects and self-made materials. Working from what can be sourced from the surrounds. Kristine received her BA Visual Studies from University of Guelph, continuing studies at OCADU (2012) in Canada. She has received several grants including a Canada Council research grant to explore meteoritic histories relating to local geographies, and an Ontario Arts Chalmers grant to develop skills in ceramics.

I submitted a selection of my found metal and rubber objects for an informal competition on the theme of “collections/collecting” and was invited to participate in this activity which included a tour of the exhibition with Daniel Kramer and Sylvie Felber followed by a presentation of fellow participating collector's items in the Atelier of the Fondation Beyeler.
